This dataset contains information about circulation (checkouts) by item type for each Norfolk Public Library branch location by month. The data begins July 2016 and is updated monthly.

This dataset details the number, duration and type of appointments that are made at the Slover Library Creative Studios. This dataset will enable users to learn about the equipment, facilities and services available to patrons. Additionally, users can learn how many hours patrons use the equipment, facilities and services as well as which are the most requested.

This dataset provides an extract from Norfolk's STORM application. STORM, an acronym for System to Track, Organize, Record and Map, captures data collected by residents and city staff during and after inclement weather events. The app captures incidents such as flooded streets, damaged trees, disabled vehicles, downed cable lines, etc. This dataset provides a record of reported events entered into STORM beginning in 2010; the dataset is updated during and after weather events.

Data lens provides graphical representation of reported events entered into STORM since 2010. The STORM application tracks up to 20 incidents as a result of inclement weather, such as flooded streets, damaged trees, disabled vehicles, and damaged utilities.

This data is from five tide stations located in waterways throughout Norfolk: Elizabeth River, Grandy Village, Lafayette River, Mason Creek, Ocean View Recreation Center. This data will allow users to track and analyze tide levels in the city of Norfolk. The data is updated every six minutes and encompasses a rolling year.

Note: At the Mason Creek tide station, the water flows through a weir system (small dam) that alters the flow characteristics of the water; data from this tide station will differ from the other four tide stations.

Note: The Pretty Lake tide station communication line has been damaged and is not currently transmitting data. Repairs are underway and data transmission should begin again in June 2021.
